A Message From the Athletic Director:
Because of low numbers in the sophomore class, the JV numbers for girls lacrosse at the high school are low this season. We are looking for some 8th graders who would be interested in some extra lacrosse this spring to play on the high school JV team. We are not exactly sure how it would look yet so we wanted to get an idea of how many would be interested in playing. The expectation would be for you to uphold your commitment to your Medfield youth team and select teams. We will work with you to make that possible. The season would run from now until 5/19. If you are up for that, please fill out the following survey ASAP so we can begin to figure out logistics.
Please discuss with your family to make sure your schedule can handle it! Choosing not to play JV this year will have NO effect on whether you make the team next year and there is zero pressure to play this season. We know a lot of you have probably already made other commitments for this spring and this may not be possible, we just hope you all will try out next year! There are no cuts and 8th graders cannot play on Varsity. Generally JV has 2 games a week on weekdays. Practice is everyday after school however we know with your youth schedules that will be a lot so we are going to work together to make a doable schedule. There are no practices on weekends. We will be holding an informational meeting on Wednesday, 3/25 immediately after school in the health room!

The Angel Run is hosting a poster party at Blake next Wednesday, 12/3. Volunteers will paint posters to hang along the race route the following weekend. Open to all middle schoolers...the more, the merrier! Please meet in the auditorium immediately after school until about 4:30 (or whenever we run out of poster board).

Due to the inclement weather and poor field conditions, we have decided to postpone the Blake MS field hockey game vs Westwood today (Mon, 10/20 @ 4:30 - Dale St).

Picture Day will be Thursday September 11th! Picture day forms have been distributed to advisories and sent home with students.
Reminder: Please fill out the family inventories and chromebook sign-offs - the information and insight shared is both helpful and valuable. The link to the opening day letter can be found in the news section of the website.
Paving at the high school and middle school is scheduled to take place Wednesday (8/6) and Thursday (8/7). Entry to Blake will be limited.
Starting next Monday, 7/28, the Blake parking lot is going to be repaved - and the area will be blocked off. Staff and visitors can park at the high school and then walk to the front door of Blake. We will let you know when the work is over - thanks so much! And, we can all look forward to a 'smooth' entry back into school next year :)
Lost and Found Reminder:
We have a lot of items in our lost and found bins; if you are missing clothing, water bottles or other items please stop by Blake between the hours of 8-1 daily. We will be donating unclaimed items on July 15th.
There is NO Jazz Choir rehearsal after school today. Congratulations on a great year! Reminder there is no Pride Alliance this afternoon.
Monday kicks off our final spirit week of the year! We will start with Rainbow Day- wear Rainbow and/or Tie Dye on Monday! On Monday, please stop by the front lobby (by the library) before school, to get a rainbow sticker,
Attention 8th Graders! If you are interested in being in Theatre next year at the High School, please come to our Sweet 'n Greet next Wednesday 6/11 after school in the Music Wing of the HS. All cast & crew members are encouraged to attend!
A football meeting will be held on Wednesday, June 11th for all rising 7th and 8th graders. The meeting will be held in room 408 starting at 2:15. Go Warriors!!
Any 8th grade girl interested in playing soccer at the High School, there will be an informational meeting right after school on Friday June 6th in the Health room!
Chess Club will meet today 6/4 after school in Rom 205. There will be a Student Council Officers meeting after school today in Mrs. Shaw's room.
