RECOGNITION AND REMEMBRANCE OF 9/11/01, THURSDAY, 9/11/25
September 11, 2025 will mark the twenty-fourth anniversary of the tragic events that transpired on September 11, 2001. To help commemorate all those who were affected by the events that took place, we are encouraging everyone if they would like, in an appropriate and respectful manner, to wear the colors of red, white, and blue on Thursday, September 11. We will have a morning announcement to recognize the day and will also observe a moment of silence to honor those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001.
In addition, we will be having our annual one-day food drive for the Medfield Food Cupboard on Thursday, September 11. At this time, most needed items include: tuna (solid white, in water), Ensure or Boost (vanilla or chocolate), Jelly/jam (12 or 18 oz), creamy peanut butter, and individually portioned snacks. Thanks in advance for your generosity and support!
We fully recognize that recognition of the events that took place on 9/11/01 is a very sensitive and personal topic for all, students and adults alike. Please contact your child’s school counselor, Kelly Campbell, or me if you feel your child will be particularly affected by these discussions or need additional support.
