ITALY 2023!

WE ARE EXCITED TO TRAVEL TO ITALY IN 2023!

This 10-day trip will coincide with the April 2023 school vacation. During this timeframe, students will tour Sorrento, Capri, Pompeii, Rome, Assisi, and Florence, immersing in the culture, art, architecture, & history of Italy.

Student eligibility for travel will include juniors & seniors enrolled in AP Art History, AP Studio Art, Art II, & Ceramics 3; as well as Latin II, III, & IV. 

An informational meeting will be held for interested students & their families on June 7th in the HS LMC from 6-7 pm.

 2022 HALL OF EXCELLENCE INDUCTEE

FICTION WRITER, TEACHER, INVESTIGATIVE REPORTER, VOLUNTEER, ADVENTURER

An avid adventurer and lover of new experiences, Mark has traveled to Africa with the Peace Corps, worked at Reuters as a financial correspondent, and spent time as an investigative reporter for The San Diego Tribune. During his time as a reporter Mark was nominated two times for the Pulitzer Prize in investigative and explanatory writing about the lives of children raised by addicts. He continued to develop his writing and investigative talents as a backup congressional reporter for The Boston Globe and The New York Times. It was his time living with extreme skiers in Utah and Wyoming in 1990 which yielded his first novel, The Fall Line. The acclaimed author of nineteen novels including the #1 New York Times bestselling Private series co-written with James Patterson, Mark has received numerous awards for his writing. His bestselling novels, including Beneath a Scarlet Sky, which has been called one of the finest World War II novels ever written, have been optioned for film and television and translated into dozens of languages.

A volunteer and philanthropist working on behalf of literacy, libraries, and ending child soldiering, Mark is also a popular public speaker on a wide variety of topics, including history, creativity and personal motivation. 


FROM THE MEDFIELD FOUNDATION (MFi)

The Medfield Foundation is holding a food drive for the Medfield Food Cupboard from Tuesday, May 31 to Friday, June 9. A collection bin will be in the high school lobby during this time. The most needed items at the moment are nutritional drinks, tuna, canned pasta, 100% juice boxes, jelly, and spices. Thank you for your support!
