Reminders:
Class Dues ($20/student/year) Invoices are available on the MySchoolBucks portal. Please pay online at your earliest convenience. Please note that for seniors, the funds are used to purchase caps and gowns for graduation, class gifts, and to offset the cost of senior events such as prom and the senior night out. As part of the senior sign-out process, all outstanding dues must be paid. Please contact Mrs. Hagan if you would like to request financial assistance.

PROM TICKETS SALES END TODAY
Today is the last day to buy your prom ticket!
The event will be held on Friday, May 2 from 7:00-10:30 at Gillette Stadium. Juniors and Seniors may purchase up to two tickets per person.
A ticket for the Prom bus is included in the price of the Prom ticket. Medfield Outreach and the Medfield Cares About Prevention (MCAP) Coalition have covered most of the cost of prom bus transportation for all students attending the prom this year.

All other forms are also due today - Table forms, Form #1, Form #2 and Guest Form
ATTENTION SENIORS - INTERESTED IN SPEAKING AT GRADUATION?
Every year at graduation a member of the senior class is selected to address the graduates with a prepared speech. All graduating seniors are welcome to apply by submitting a written speech via Google Form. All speeches are due by Friday, May 9. Finalists will be invited to present their speeches to a small faculty committee during the week of 5/12.

Registration is now open to enable your Senior to experience the 'Party of all Parties' at Medfield’s All Night Grad Party.
It’s been a 32 year Medfield tradition! Please register your Senior HERE and please remind your Senior to sign the Party Expectations form HERE. (They must be signed into their school gmail account to register.)
We need BOTH forms submitted before May 9th. Your student will not be allowed into the party if these forms have not been completed.
Thank you for your speedy response and know that your Senior will end their Medfield school days with this incredible fun, SAFE & memorable celebration.

CONGRATULATIONS RYLIE!
The New York Times conducted its third annual Tiny Memoir Contest for Students: Write a 100-Word Personal Narrative. Teens are invited to submit a story about a meaningful life experience in just 100 words. With over 12,000 submissions, 120 were finalists, which includes 20 winners, 28 runners-up, and 72 honorable mentions. We are excited to share that one of our MHS students, Rylie McAdrews, was selected as a winner! You can read Rylie’s entry HERE, along with the other winners entries, and see a list of all finalists.

YOUNG ADULT DOCUMENT SIGNING DAY
At the fall Open House, Attorney Deb Hedges shared important legal documents that students should sign after they turn 18. The documents are Power of Attorney, HIPAA, Health Care Proxy, and FERPA. The forms allow parents or guardians to continue to help make financial, legal, and health choices for their adult children after coming of age in Massachusetts. These forms should be signed before a Notary Public or witnessed by independent persons, or both.
On the Document Signing Day, Deb will provide the blank forms and help 18-year-olds understand how to fill them out and provide complimentary notary services.

SEPAC NEWS
Medfield SEPAC is now accepting nominations for the second annual Jim James Inclusion award. This award honors Medfield Public School employees who, like Jim James, make outstanding efforts on behalf of students with special educational needs to promote and model inclusion. Please help us to identify those educators who deserve this recognition by filling out the nomination form. 🌺Indulge Mom with a special gift while supporting Medfield Public Schools in time for Mother’s Day! MCPE has partnered with Medfield Wine Shoppe and Around the Plate to offer a Wine & Charcuterie box for two. For $100, this gift includes a delicious charcuterie box and two bottles of premium wine that will pair with it beautifully (one red, one white, selected by Medfield Wine Shoppe). A portion of proceeds from each order will go back toward MCPE grants in our schools!

The MFi Youth Leadership Program is awarding $1,000 in grant funding this spring with a portion of the money raised from the 2024 Angel Run. The funding is meant to better our Medfield community in some way. To be eligible to receive a grant, organizations must serve the citizens of Medfield either in whole or in part. There must be a compelling need for the grant, or it must be used for a specific project. The Bow Seat – Ocean Awareness Contest
The 14th annual Ocean Awareness Contest is a platform for young people to learn about environmental issues through art-making and creative communication, explore their relationship to a changing world, and become advocates for positive change. Students participate by creating art that showcases their connection to the natural world. Students can apply in a variety of categories, including digital art, handcrafted art, film, poetry, and more. Students ages 11-18 from around the world are invited to participate.
