March 19, 2021 --

Dear Parents,

I wanted to provide you with a quick update on our return to in-person learning now that the Medfield Teachers' Association has ratified the agreement from last week. We are thrilled to be bringing our students back to the full in-person learning model. Our Cohort D students are able to stay in that model for the remainder of the 2020-2021 school year.

Please pay close attention to the dates listed below:

  • Grades 2-5 will return to full in-person on Monday, March 22nd. Elementary (K-5) will follow the current Wednesday schedule on March 24th and March 31st. On April 7th, all students in Grades K-5 will transition to a full day on Wednesday for the remainder of the school year. The updated bus routes are being sent today.

  • Grades 6-8 will return to full in-person on MondayApril 5th. Blake Middle School will follow the current Wednesday schedule on March 24th and March 31st. On April 7th, all students in Grades 6-8 will transition to a full day on Wednesday for the remainder of the school year. A binding survey regarding the learning model/transportation will be sent to Blake parents next week.

  • Grades 9-12 will return to full in-person on Monday, April 12th. Medfield HS will follow the current Wednesday schedule on March 24th, March 31st, and April 7th.  On April 14th, all students in Grades 9-12 will transition to a full day on Wednesday for the remainder of the year. A binding survey regarding the learning model/transportation will be sent to MHS parents the week of March 29th.

Our building principals will continue to send additional details that are related to their particular school's reopening. This has been an incredible team effort across our entire community. I want to thank everyone for their understanding, patience, and resilience during this challenging school year. We are all looking forward to bringing back some normalcy to our students and families.

Have a great weekend.

Sincerely,

Jeff Marsden
