Winter break will be here before we know it and we have started to plan for our holiday parties. On December 21st and 22nd, classes will be holding in-person celebrations. Due to COVID restrictions, our parties will look a little different. We are asking families to please send in a “Party In A Bag” snack on the day of their child’s party. See below for more information. In addition, our amazing PTO is planning an activity for the kids that our staff will then do with them in their classrooms. We are excited to kick off winter break with these celebrations and thank you in advance for your support.
Party In A Bag
Families with students at Wheelock and Dale may already be familiar with the “Party in the Bag” format. For those of you who are new to this type of celebration, please see below.
Find a brown paper lunch bag or a similar type bag
Invite your child to decorate their bag or simply write their name on the outside
Return your child’s bag on the day of their party (Cohort A - December 21st, Cohort B - December 22nd) with a few of their favorite food items. Some examples could include:
Juice box or mini water bottle
Small salty snack
Fun sweet snack (cupcake, cookie, candy)
Additional item could be a piece of fruit, a small yogurt, or any additional healthy snack
