GOT (HEALTH) FORMS?

In order to help maintain the health and well being of your student while in school we must have their Emergency Health Information sheet. This information sheet is important for the nurses to refer to in case there is an emergency and we need to contact you or other emergency people listed on the emergency contact section. This sheet also provides permission for the school nurses to administer medication and help communicate important health information to the nurses. Should you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact us.  Liz Bennett RN BSN (ebennett@email.medfield.net) or Brittany Hardiman RN BSN (bhardiman@email.medfield.net). Health Office phone: 508-242-8568 Fax:508-359-2963

If you have not done so already, please send in your student’s Emergency Health Information sheet by THIS THURSDAY, OCTOBER 29th. To download, print and complete form, CLICK HERE.

MHS SENIOR, SLATER FRANKS, NAMED A NATIONAL HISPANIC SCHOLAR!

The National Hispanic Recognition Program (NHRP) recognizes approximately 5,000 Hispanic students each year from among the more than 400,000 juniors who take the PSAT. We are pleased to announce that Slater Franks, a member of Medfield High School’s Class of 2021, has been recognized by the CollegeBoard through the National Hispanic Recognition Program.  Students who take the PSAT/NMSQT must have a qualifying score on their junior PSAT as well as a qualifying GPA based on the submission of their high school transcript.  Congratulations    Slater, we hope you take great pride in this outstanding accomplishment!

LIBRARY MEDIA CENTER UPDATE

Please visit http://medfieldhslmc.weebly.com/ to access digital books (Sora) and magazines, search for new books you may want to read, or just browse Pinterest to see what your teachers have been reading. Mrs. Panchuk is always available in school or via email - rpanchuk@email.medfield.net to assist you with password help if needed.

FROM THE ENGLISH DEPARTMENT...

Ms. Duffy and Ms. Brown have been working with their English Literature Honors classes on poetry, specifically by modern British writers. This way, their seniors get the opportunity to "hear" a number of Voices of Color in this new unit that highlights diversity. The students have since created Flipgrids about these poets as part of an extensive poetry project. It has been eye opening!
