LOOKING AHEAD:

Medfield Youth Outreach is piloting a new after school Youth Comedy Program for students in grades 8-12 in partnership with Kathe Farris, a stand-up instructor at ImprovBoston and a Medfield parent. The program will take place on Tuesdays from 2:15 pm to 3:30 pm at the Medfield Youth Outreach Office and will run from February 26th through April 2nd.

Our purpose is to bring a group of young people together who share a common interest in comedy. Through supportive instruction, students will start with the fundamentals of comedy writing and work their way up to creating their own stand-up comedy set (performance optional)! Program Objectives:

  • Meet new people who are interested in comedy
  • Discover the basic principles of stand up comedy
  • Learn how to write and deliver a joke
  • Performing is an option but not a requirement.

The program fee is $50, but there are scholarship spots available. We do not want cost to be prohibitive for any interested teen.  To sign up, fill out this short questionnaire: https://goo.gl/HiUiHk.  For questions, please contact Medfield Youth Outreach at (508) 359-7121 or at This email address is being protected from spambots.
