MEDFIELD CHALLENGE SUCCESS - The Medfield Challenge Success Parent Committee invites parents and high school students to a district-wide book discussion on Thursday, April 25th from 7:30-9:30 pm in the MHS Library.
Join other Medfield parents in reading Doing School: How We Are Creating a Generation of Stressed-Out, Materialistic, and Miseducated Students by Denise Pope, then come and hear a panel of Medfield High School students talk candidly about how they may be facing some of the same issues presented in the book. Don’t have time to read the book? Still join us for this dynamic presentation. This book and presentation are geared toward the high school population. Students are welcome. A limited supply of the books can be found at Park Street Books and the Medfield Public Library. Used copies are available at Amazon. To RSVP, click here.
CAFE READ-A-LATTE 2019 WAS A HUGE SUCCESS! Over 133 classes signed up and came in to purchase breakfast goodies, snacks, beverages and check out books. This would not have been possible without the 149 parent volunteers who staffed the food table and provided many delicious donations. I would also like to recognize the local businesses who made donations including Blue Moon, Donut Express, Dunkin Donuts, Starbucks, Roche Brothers and Shaw's. In addition, I want to thank the MHS Food Service for their support throughout Cafe Read-a-Latte.The funds raised will be used to bring authors into the school, purchase makerspace items, and/or any other items not included in the library budget. This year we helped offset the cost of author Matt de la Peña's visit to the Medfield Public Schools. A big thank you also goes out for the continued and enthusiastic support from the administration, faculty and staff!
FROM THE YEARBOOK STAFF…Time is running out to purchase the 2019 yearbook! It is a great showcase of students of every class, not just seniors. Be sure to purchase your copy while supplies last. This is the special link for yearbook sales: http://jostensyearbooks.com/?REF=A01095588.
